When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven." -- Acts 1:9-11 Sodalite is one of my favorite stones. It reminds me of white clouds swirling in a blue summery sky. I can imagine the sky looking like this on the day Our Lord ascended into heaven. The prayer beads and divider beads of this Komvoschinion are both made of sodalite. The dividers are capped with Bali-style wire bead caps, and each prayer bead is separated from the next with sterling Bali daisy spacers, and a sterling 2mm bead. The cross is also made of sodalite. This Komvoschinion reminds me that Christ will come again, and I should be waiting with watchful expectation.
