This 100-bead mequteria was designed to reflect the work of the Holy Spirit in the Christian life. The prayer beads are 6mm Unakite, which is shades of green and a reddish color. The green represents the new life given to us at Baptism, and the red is the fire of Pentecost that we experience at our Chrismation. The 10mm red flower jasper divider beads also pick up the theme of the fire of Pentecost with a swirly flaming look. The sterling silver bead caps on the dividers and the silver-colored seed beads between each prayer bead represent the many precious gifts that God gives us in our Christian life. The Coptic cross is silver-finished pewter.

This particular Mequteria is configured in a "combination syle" so that it can be used for a multitude of purposes:

• 7 beads for the seven days of creation
• 12 beads for the 12 tribes of Israel or the 12 Apostles
• 41 beads for the 39 lashes, crown of thorns, and wound in Our Lord's side
• 4 beads for the 4 Gospels - from the beginning to this point makes 64, in honor of Mary
• 36 more beads to the end makes a total of 100 beads for Lent
